MCPA Job Search Jump Start

We are proud to announce that the 2012 MCPA Job Search Jump Start- formerly Mock Interview Day-will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the headquarters for ACPA. This year's conference will provide job-searching graduate students and young professionals in higher education/student affairs a real-life simulation of placement services at national student affairs conferences such as ACPA's C3.
The program will feature interviewing tips, professional etiquette, and resume and cover letter development. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in mock interviews and receiving feedback with professional Student Affairs staff members from around the state. The resume and cover letter development piece will see the attendees submit their resumes prior to arriving for volunteers in the field to review and give feedback. Participants will also have the opportunity to talk with a panel of professionals in the field to discuss current trends and tips to being successful in your job search.
LOCATION
ACPA is located at the National Center for Higher Education, One Dupont Circle NW, Suite 300 Washington, DC 20036. ACPA is conveniently located off the DC Metro Red Line.

There are two registration forms for this year's conference- one for CANDIDATES and one for VOLUNTEERS. Candidates- please fill out this online form. Volunteers- please assist us by filling out this online form. Lunch will be provided for all those who pre-register. If you have any questions, please contact our conference co-chairs.
